Sunset Subaru Shares the Love

For the last 12 years, Subaru of America has donated more than $176 million to charity during their annual “Share the Love” event. This year, the Academy was fortunate to have been selected to receive a percentage for each car sold within the month. Consequently, at the end of the campaign the Academy received a generous check for $10,680. Thanks to Tim Reeher, Sunset Subaru Sales Manager, for his unwavering support, and for his efforts in the success of this campaign. In addition, we thoroughly appreciate and thank all contributors within the local Subaru dealership for their generosity. Sunset Automotive Manager Don Osborne deserves recognition, not only for his gracious support from the dealership, but for his active participation as a member of our Board of Directors.

I had the opportunity to visit the dealership with Academy Director William McKeever and represent the Academy members. It was exciting and emotional to have the opportunity to speak for all of us in expressing our collective gratitude. Also, I participated in a fun picture with the huge check.

While this certainly is a generous financial donation, it is much more than that. Community partners are an integral part of our success, and they create a snowball effect; those who support us provide further visibility to those whom they are able to reach. Subaru of America has our heartfelt gratitude for helping to create a positive life change for those seeking mental recovery.
