Safety First
Small changes will help keep us safe at home, at the Academy, at work and in the community.
The Academy at Glengary has always placed health and safety as our highest priority. The Academy’s Wellness Committee is spearheading an important prevention initiative and pro-active approach to the COVID-19 virus. Members and staff are working together to ensure our collective wellbeing and safety. Our goal is to keep everyone healthy without restricting the recovery process of our members. The Academy’s mission keeps us very active in the Sarasota community, in collaboration with a wide range of employers, housing providers and clinical services.
The Academy is fortunate to have partnerships with major hospitals and healthcare agencies in our community, and we have reached out to CenterPlace Health, Sarasota Memorial Health Care and Doctors Hospital for advice and guidance. Based on their expertise, along with guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), we are developing recommendations for our members, staff and volunteers. These recommended practices will serve us well while we are at the Academy, at home, in the community or at work.
We take our collective responsibility very seriously, and we will continue to stay on top of latest developments and do everything we can to mitigate risk. We know that knowledge is power, and it takes education and just a few just small steps to reduce our risk.
