Hybrid Clubhouse Worldwide
The Academy co-presents with Mosaic Clubhouse, London, England, for international webinar.
As the coronavirus pandemic changes the world, the term “internet age” is taking on a whole new meaning. People of all ages and backgrounds have had to adjust to living out some part of their life through a screen. This could not be more true for the Academy at Glengary. This is why we were thrilled when Clubhouse International asked us to present on our new Hybrid Work-Ordered Day in a world-wide webinar.
Clubhouse International helps to start and support Clubhouse programs all over the world. They officially accredited the Academy at Glengary two years ago. As a young Clubhouse, it is an honor to present on the complex process of reopening our facility.
Academy member Ian Churchill and Young Adult Coordinator Idanes Paredes spearheaded the project and facilitated the presentation. With tech support from Joanne Campbell, the Academy had an awesome PowerPoint to share as well as a short film by Multimedia Team and Coordinator Katelyn Grimmett.
“I felt excited and joyful to be able to share something about our community to the rest of the world,” Ian Churchill emphatically expressed. “Just being able to share how we implemented early stages of Clubhouse operation with onsite and virtual integration was quite meaningful to me.”
Several Clubhouses followed up after the webinar to inquire about the technology, software, grants and programs the Academy is lucky enough to employ on a daily basis. Of course, the most important piece in reopening was teamwork.
“For me, it was exciting to share the progress we’ve made in our Clubhouse,” Idanes Paredes said. Thank you Clubhouse International.
