At the Academy, we mirror a traditional workday. Members and staff combine forces to keep our organization running smoothly. A typical day may include taking guests on a tour of the Academy, conducting data entry in our business team, preparing healthy lunch options, or designing the Academy’s upcoming newsletter.
Members have access to the full range of training opportunities where they can explore options and pursue new interests, regardless of their current skill set or experience. This workday model provides members with a structure and purpose that can give new shape to their days. Our vocational teams offer members a space to be challenged, at their own pace and with the strong support of their peers and Academy staff.
As members dust off old skills or build new ones, they cultivate a renewed sense of self-confidence, build stamina, and begin to see new possibilities emerge. The Academy workday is where we water the seeds of independence, collaboration, employment readiness, and brighter futures.
