Academy Members have Voice and Choice

The Academy embraces a philosophy of inclusion in every aspect of our operation, from menu planning to finances. In essence, Academy members have Voice and Choice in program development and decision-making. An inclusive process for hiring Academy staff is a perfect example of how we put this philosophy into practice.
Members and staff share steps that include a working interview for candidates and a “panel interview.” Imagine being interviewed by 12 people! Afterward, members and staff come together and make a decision on based on consensus. As you might imagine, it can be quite an accomplishment to be hired by the Academy. The successful candidate will need to get the nod of approval from our community. We are currently interviewing candidates to fill a new opening in our Culinary Team. Stay tuned for updates!
