Governmental Partners
Public funding provides a vital piece of our financial sustainability.
The Academy was founded in 2017 as one of the first public-private partnerships in mental health on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Every year, approximately 45% of the Academy’s budget is covered by public funds allocated by Florida’s Department of Children and Families (note: the Academy raises the remaining 55% of its budget from the private sector, through fundraising campaigns, foundation support, and corporate donors.)
Funding sources
We are very grateful for the ongoing support provided to us by Central Florida Behavioral Health Network, our Florida Managing Entity that disburses substance abuse and mental health funding in our region.
Academy at Bradenton currently receives funding from the Public Safety Department of Manatee County Government.
