Our Gratitude Tree
We celebrate Thanksgiving with a message of gratitude
Our journey to wellness is grounded on our practice of shared values. The Academy is fertile terrain for our growth as individuals, as members of our community, and as sons, daughters, spouses, parents or friends. Shared values act as our compass and point out the path ahead. Perhaps there is no greater value in our journey than gratitude – it’s the antidote for negativity, and transforms life into hopefulness and possibilities.
Thanks to the initiative and creativity of Chantel Gingerich, we decorated our reception area with a Gratitude Tree. Members, staff and visitors, throughout Thanksgiving week, identified a personal reason for gratitude by putting a leaf on the tree. We have so much to be thankful for.
“Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.” – Rabbi Harold Kushner
